2024 MLB Futures Game: NL Roster

Breaking down the NL roster

MLB released rosters for the 2024 Futures Game this week. The game will take place on Saturday, July 13 in Arlington, Texas as part of All-Star Weekend. The game will be a seven-inning exhibition game featuring 33 of MLB’s top 100 prospects.


We highlighted the AL roster on Draft Nation, and now we'll break down the The National League roster, which consists of two of the game's brightest prospects in outfielder Dylan Crews of Washington and catcher Ethan Salas of San Diego.


Pitchers

Bubba Chandler, RHP, Pirates

  • 4-5 with a 4.17 ERA at AA (68 strikeouts in 54 IP)
  • 3rd round pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2021 draft out of Georgia HS

Chase Dollander, RHP, Rockies

  • 3-1 with a 3.05 ERA at High-A (92 strikeouts in 62 IP)
  • 1st round pick (9th overall) by the Colorado Rockies in the 2023 draft out of Tennessee University.

Tink Hence, RHP, Cardinals

  • 4-2 with a 3.29 ERA at AA (73 strikeouts in 54.2 IP)
  • 2nd round pick by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2020 draft out of Arkansas HS

Rhett Lowder, RHP, Reds

  • 3-4 with a 5.04 at (High-A and AA) 
  • 1st round pick (7th overall) by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2023 draft out of Wake Forest.

Quinn Mathews, LHP, Cardinals

  • 6-2 with a 2.03 ERA at (single-A, high-A, AA) (113 strikeouts in 79.2)
  • 4th round pick by the St.Louis Cardinals in the 2023 draft out of Stanford.

Noble Meyer, RHP, Marlins

  • 2-3 with a 3.13 ERA at (single-A and high-A)
  • 1st round pick (10th overall) by the Miami Marlins in the 2023 draft out of Oregon HS

Robby Snelling, LHP, Padres

  • 1-8 with a 6.49 ERA at AA
  • 1st round pick (39th overall) in the 2022 draft out of Nevada HS

Brandon Sproat, RHP, Mets

  • 5-1 with a 1.61 ERA at (high-A and AA) 
  • 3rd round pick by the New York Mets in the 2022 draft out of Florida University

Thomas White, LHP, Marlins

  • 1-3 with a 3.21 ERA at (single-A and high-A) (78 strikeouts in 56 IP)
  • 1st round pick (35th overall) by the Miami Marlins in the 2023 draft out of Massachusetts HS


Catchers

Drake Baldwin, C, Braves

  • .259 with seven homers and 45 RBI at (AA and AAA)
  • 3rd round pick by the Atlanta Braves in the 2022 draft out of Missouri State.

Thayron Liranzo, C, Dodgers

  • .231 with six homers and 26 RBI at high-A
  • Signed as an International free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2021.

Ethan Salas, C, Padres

  • .191 with one homer and 24 RBI at high-A
  • Signed as an International free agent by the San Diego Padres in 2023.

Cam Collier, 3B, Reds

  • .232 with 13 homers and 47 RBI at high-A
  • 1st round pick (18th overall) by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2022 draft out of Chipola College

Deyvison De Los Santos, 3B/1B, Diamondbacks
