The early view of the 2025 wide receivers looks as if it may not be in the same class as the 2024 crop. There is definitely no Marvin Harrison Jr, and the depth appears to be closer to the 2023 class. As usual, there are still plenty of talented pass catchers for teams to draft, just maybe not the big names we are accustomed to seeing.

10- Deion Burks, Oklahoma

Last season: 47 receptions 629 yards 7 touchdowns

Burks is a transfer from Purdue. He is a vertical threat who does an excellent job of adjusting and contorting his body to where the ball is thrown. He can struggle at times with man to man press coverages. The Sooners pass offense should be fun to watch this season with quarterback Jackson Arnold throwing to Deion Burks and Nic Anderson.

9- Nic Anderson, Oklahoma

Last season: 38 receptions 798 yards 10 touchdowns

Anderson is an explosive 6-foot-4 receiver with long arms who can put pressure on the back end of a secondary. He averaged 21.0 yards per catch last season and will be a big play target for incoming quarterback Jackson Arnold.

8- Tory Horton, Colorado State

Last season: 96 receptions 1,136 yards 8 touchdowns

Horton is a wide receiver who uses several different moves and tempo changes to beat a defender one on one. He is a vertical threat who also knows how to find the soft spots in zones. On the downside, he does not have strong hands and will let the ball play into his chest, making him drop more passes than you’d like to see.

7- Tez Johnson, Oregon

Last season: 86 receptions 1,182 yards 10 touchdowns

Johnson is a receiver in the Antonio Brown mold who can beat you all over the field. He has excellent cutting skills and can get in and out of routes smoothly. However, at only 160 pounds, he will need to continue to add bulk and strength to endure the punishment at the next level.

6- Tre Harris, Ole Miss

Last season: 54 receptions 985 yards 8 touchdowns

Harris uses his long length and frame to be a weapon in the red zone. Harris is outstanding at grabbing contested passes and is physical going after the ball. On the downside, he lacks separation speed but projects as a solid, possession-type receiver.

5- Isaiah Bond, Texas

Last season: 48 receptions 668 yards 4 touchdowns

The Alabama transfer will be an integral part of the Longhorns pass offense this season. Bond has to improve his route running ability and rely less on using just his vertical speed. Bond is able to get to top speed instantly and should be one of Quinn Ewers main targets in 2024.

4- Evan Stewart, Oregon

Last season: 38 receptions 514 yards 4 touchdowns

Stewart is one of the top route runners in the class and he does an effective job of changing speeds and his stop and go ability makes him tough to mirror. As with other smaller receivers, he needs to get stronger and trust his hands more.

3- Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona

Last season: 90 receptions 1,402 yards 10 touchdowns

McMillan is a 6-foot-5 receiver who can line up all over the formation. He has the short yardage explosion to be effective in the slot and has the physicality to go up and win contested throws on the outside. He will be a tough one-on-one matchup in the NFL. His straight line speed is good but he won’t be considered a burner at the next level.

2- Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State

Last season: 41 receptions 515 yards 4 touchdowns

Going into the 2023 season, Emeka Egbuka was considered one of the top receivers for the 2024 NFL draft. He caught 74 passes for 1,151 yards two seasons ago, but took a step back with his targets and production last year. Egbuka is a blazer who has been timed at 4.30 in the 40. He has strong hands and can run the whole route tree effectively. He played hurt throughout the season and seemed to lack the sprinter's speed he was known for. Teams will do their due diligence on his injury history.

1- Luther Barden III, Missouri

Last season: 86 receptions 1,212 yards 9 touchdowns

Barden is versatile and can line up both in the slot and the outside. He has elite catch and run ability from the slot and can take a five-yard pass and turn it into a big play. He is highly competitive and does whatever it takes to bring the ball down. Barden is creative when plays break down and is effective at finding spots in the zone to make plays.
