3 Potential Trade Destinations for Disgruntled Philadelphia Eagles WR A. J. Brown

Patriots, Bills and Ravens Might Test the Waters

Throughout the 2025 season, there were clear signs of frustration from A. J. Brown. From cryptic social media posts to pointed comments about the offense, to even telling a Madden streamer to “get rid of him” on a fantasy team, the tension surrounding his role in Philadelphia was hard to ignore.

While Brown’s tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles has been highly successful, it’s fair to wonder whether both sides could consider a fresh start this offseason. Here are three potential trade destinations that will make sense if Philadelphia explores that possibility.

1. New England Patriots

This one feels almost too obvious. Brown spent three seasons playing under Mike Vrabel in Tennessee, and the two reportedly built a strong relationship. If Vrabel sees Brown as a foundational piece, that familiarity could matter.

Fresh off a Super Bowl loss, the New England Patriots would be highly motivated to make a move that pushes them over the top in 2026. Adding an elite receiver like Brown to pair with Drake Maye, who is coming off an MVP-caliber season, and Stefon Diggs could elevate the offense from excellent to unstoppable.

Despite an impressive regular season, New England’s offense stalled at times in the postseason. Brown’s physicality, contested-catch ability, and dominance as a true “X” receiver could be the missing piece that gets them over the hump.

2. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are another contender that feels one move away. Josh Allen continues to perform at an MVP level, finishing first in voting in 2024 and third in 2025, all without a true No. 1 receiver.

While Khalil Shakir has led the team in receiving yards and Keon Coleman has shown flashes at times, neither has consistently filled the alpha role. Buffalo cannot afford to waste Allen’s prime years without giving him elite weapons.

Adding Brown would immediately change the complexion of this offense. His ability to win one-on-one, create yards after the catch, and command defensive attention would open up the entire field. With Allen already capable of carrying the offense, pairing him with a receiver of Brown’s caliber could finally be what pushes Buffalo into championship territory.

3. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are the third team on this list with an elite quarterback who could maximize Brown’s skill set. Lamar Jackson remains one of the most dynamic players in football, but Baltimore has struggled in recent years to consistently find reliable production at wide receiver outside of Zay Flowers.

From Rashod Bateman to Odell Beckham Jr. to DeAndre Hopkins, the Ravens have cycled through options without fully solving the problem.

Adding Brown would give Lamar a true boundary presence, someone who can win in tight coverage and provide a dependable target in high-leverage moments. If Baltimore wants to reduce the burden on Jackson and keep him from relying as heavily on his legs, acquiring a receiver like Brown would be a strong step forward and a statement move to begin a new era.

Final Thoughts

All three of these teams would provide Brown the opportunity to be a true No. 1 receiver paired with an elite quarterback on a contending roster, a situation any wideout would welcome.

Brown’s time in Philadelphia has been a success, highlighted by four 1,000-yard seasons and a Lombardi Trophy. However, if the frustrations behind the scenes are real anything like they seem to the outside, it may make sense for both sides to consider whether a trade this offseason is the best path forward.

If that happens, these three contenders should be at the front of the line.
