Behold! Draft Nation’s 7-round, no-trade mock draft.
Yes, there will be trades and other compensation moved before or on draft day, but for the sake of alacrity (and sanity), here’s Draft Nation’s best efforts to predict how the selection process will go.
And don’t worry… wait until next week and the writers of Draft Nation will be submitting their own two-round mocks with trades, for those that demand it.
Enjoy!
Round 1:
1st Pick Chicago Bears:
Caleb Williams, USC QB
With Justin Fields now a Pittsburgh Steeler, the Bears will certainly take a QB with the first pick in the draft and it will be Caleb Williams out of USC. Williams should find himself in a better starting position than Fields, especially with impact receivers DJ Moore and Keenan Allen to throw to.
2nd Pick Washington Commanders:
Jayden Daniels, LSU QB
Washington also needs a QB after trading last year’s starter Sam Howell to Seattle. With Kliff Kingsbury as new offensive coordinator, the direction they go will probably be Jayden Daniels from LSU. With his arm strength and mobility, he should thrive with Kingsbury at the coordinator position.
3rd Pick New England Patriots:
J.J. McCarthy, Michigan QB
The Patriots have not found their footing on offense since Tom Brady left and they traded their previous first round pick Mac Jones to Jacksonville. The dilemma they face is choosing between Drake Maye and JJ McCarthy, who has really caught fire in the last month. The Pats pick McCarthy from Michigan to run their future offense.
4th Pick Arizona Cardinals:
Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State WR
Many analysts believe the Cardinals will trade down with a team looking at that 4th QB, but for this mock draft, they stay in position and draft receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State. Kyler Murray needs the help and the best player at the position is staring them in the face.
5th Pick LA Chargers:
Malik Nabers, LSU WR
The Chargers would love to see the Cardinals trade the 4th pick to a team wanting a QB so Harrison Jr. is still available, but they can’t complain with the opportunity to add WR Malik Nabers out of LSU. Some teams have Nabers as the top WR and Herbert needs a WR1 since they cut Mike Williams and traded Keenan Allen.
6th Pick NY Giants:
Drake Maye, North Carolina QB
The Giants have talked about drafting a QB, especially if they are not sold on Daniel Jones as the future in New York. The offensive line was upgraded in free agency and picking QB Drake Maye out of North Carolina will be a great fit for this offense. The Giants could give him time as well before making him the starter.
7th Pick Tennessee Titans:
Joe Alt, Notre Dame OT
Sticking with Will Levis at QB, adding Tony Pollard at RB and Calvin Ridley at WR, the Titans need to improve on keeping the QB upright this season. That leads to them taking Joe Alt out of Notre Dame. Alt gave up two sacks in the last two years and never gets penalized, and will likely be a day one starter at left tackle.
8th Pick Atlanta Falcons:
Dallas Turner, Alabama EDGE
With Atlanta completely revamping the offensive side of the ball in the past couple drafts and again this year in free agency with Kirk Cousins now at QB, they need to go to the best edge rusher in the draft—Dallas Turner of Alabama. Turner should improve the pass rush, which in turn should help the defensive backfield.
9th Pick Chicago Bears:
Rome Odunze, Washington WR
The Bears could go defense, but it would be tough to pass up on the 3rd ranked WR out of Washington, Rome Odunze (if he is still available). He would round out the offense for Caleb Williams to have a chance to be impactful in his rookie season.
10th Pick NY Jets:
Brock Bowers, Georgia TE
The defense has been the strength for the Jets, but with Aaron Rodgers coming back from a torn Achilles injury, the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets draft a weapon on offense by selecting TE Brock Bowers from Georgia. Bowers has been considered the best tight end in college for several years and he is NFL ready.
11th Pick Minnesota Vikings:
Bo Nix, Oregon QB
The Vikings made a trade with Houston to have two picks in the first round, which most believe is to move up to get one of the QBs early in the 1st round. If that does not happen, the Vikings will take QB Bo Nix out of Oregon and still have another pick to use later in the round. Nix is a dual threat and an extremely accurate passer, which would work well with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison at WR.
12th Pick Denver Broncos:
Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Penn State OT
If the Broncos try and fail to move up for one of the top QBs, they are more likely to go after a NFL ready OT like Fashanu than draft the 5th or 6th best QB. He can play opposite of Bowles and move to LT if needed due to injury.
13th Pick Las Vegas Raiders:
Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo CB
Old habits are hard to break for the Davis Family, as they go after an extremely fast cornerback in the draft, now that the QBs they wanted are off the board. Mitchell is strong at the line of scrimmage and is always around the ball.
14th Pick New Orleans Saints:
Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State OT
The Saints tried to shore up the tackle spot in 2022, but it has not worked out for them. They need protection for Derek Carr so he has time to throw downfield, and Fuaga is capable of starting at right tackle and transitioning to left tackle quickly.
15th Pick Indianapolis Colts
Terrion Arnold, Alabama CB
Indy re-signed Blackmon to shore up the safety position and need to upgrade at the cornerback position. Many scouts believe Arnold is the top CB in this draft and will be a starter in the NFL for a long time.
16th Seattle Seahawks:
Troy Fautanu, Washington OT
The Seahawks' new offensive coordinator is coming from Washington and coached Fautanu in college. Fautanu is good enough to play several positions on the line and should be able to help the Seahawks' running game right away.
17th Jacksonville Jaguars:
Nate Wiggins, Clemson CB
Jacksonville is looking to improve their defensive backfield and Wiggins can step right in as a starter. Wiggins ran the fastest 40-yard dash at the combine for defensive players and can help the Jaguars' defense improve this season.
18th Pick Cincinnati Bengals:
Cooper DeJean, Iowa CB
The Bengals would hope they would get one of the top three cornerbacks in the draft, but they won’t pass on DeJean. He’s too good of a playmaker at the corner position not to take him. DeJean is coming off a broken leg but should be ready for week one.
19th Pick Los Angeles Rams:
Byron Murphy II, Texas DT
The Rams taking the best DT in the draft seems like a no-brainer based on future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald retiring in the offseason. Murphy has both speed and power, which will help take the sting out of losing Donald.
20th Pick Pittsburgh Steelers:
Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon C
After cutting Mason Cole, the Steelers need a center to take control of this offensive line and Powers-Johnson is the best man to do that. He is strong at both the running and passing game and the Steelers need help opening holes for a team that is a run first offense with their double threat RB tandem.
21st Pick Miami Dolphins:
JC Latham, Alabama OT
Miami is loaded with offensive weapons, but they need the OL to stay healthy and protect better for Tua, which is why JC Latham is a great pick. Latham can step in right away at either tackle or guard and help the Dolphins where it’s needed.
22nd Pick Philadelphia Eagles:
Jared Verse, Florida State Edge
With Fletcher Cox retiring and Philly trading Hassan Reddick, the Eagles need another solid pass rusher and Verse fits the bill perfectly. He is NFL ready and has the pass rushing techniques to succeed and become a three down player.
23rd Pick Minnesota Vikings:
Brian Thomas Jr., LSU WR
Minnesota is surprised to see Thomas still available but would love to add to the offensive weapons for their new QB Bo Nix if they get him. The Vikings may also be thinking about whether they can get a contract done with WR Justin Jefferson or not, and Thomas could be a replacement if Jefferson is moved.
24th Pick Dallas Cowboys:
Amarius Mims, Georgia OT
Tyron Smith is gone now and the Cowboys need to either replace him with someone on the roster or in the draft. Mims will give them multiple options but will likely start at right tackle.
25th Pick Green Bay Packers:
Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma OT
The Packers need to rebuild the OL and need size and agility to protect Jordan Love and run block for newly acquired Josh Jacobs. Guyton fits this perfectly, and Green Bay can play him at multiple spots to start after they lost several linemen in the offseason.
26th Pick Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Graham Barton, Duke C/G
Tampa has to decide between DL or OL, but Pro Bowl Center Jensen retired and they want to replace him early with an inside lineman. Barton could easily take his place at center or start at guard as a rookie and move to middle soon after that.
27th Pick Arizona Cardinals:
Laiatu Latu, UCLA DE
Arizona would have a hard time passing on Latu, with the number of pressures and sacks he had at UCLA. They need to pressure the QB more to give help to the defensive backfield.
28th Pick Buffalo Bills:
Adonai Mitchell, Texas WR
Buffalo let Gabe Davis leave in free agency and just traded Diggs to Houston, so they need to find a top receiver in this draft to be their WR. Mitchell can become that quickly with his deep threat ability and of course having Josh Allen at QB.
29th Pick Detroit Lions:
Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Missouri CB
The Lions are almost forced into taking the top cornerback left on the board because of Cam Sutton’s off-field legal issues. Rakestraw is a solid corner and is better than most CBs coming out in the draft in press coverage.
30th Pick Baltimore Ravens:
Xavier Worthy, Texas WR
By signing Derrick Henry to shore up the RB position, the Ravens will be looking to get help for Lamar Jackson at wide receiver. Worthy can come right in as a deep threat for Baltimore.
31st Pick San Francisco 49ers:
Ladd McConkey, Georgia WR
The 49ers could take an offensive lineman here to help protect Purdy, but they will probably add to the offensive weapons with WR McConkey. San Francisco may have trouble keeping Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk in the near future and McConkey is an insurance policy against an Aiyuk trade.
32nd Pick Kansas City Chiefs:
Keon Coleman, Florida State WR
Kansas City needs to get a WR for Mahomes, especially since no one knows yet what may happen to Rice after off-field issues. They added Hollywood Brown to a one-year deal, but Coleman is a much-needed tall receiver who can fight for balls.
Round 2:
33rd Pick Carolina Panthers:
Xavier Legette, South Carolina WR
After watching CJ Stroud go off in Houston with solid WRs, Carolina has to get a wide receiver to help Bryce Young have more options when throwing the ball and Xavier Legette is a guy who can make that happen.
34th Pick New England Patriots:
Roman Wilson, Michigan WR
The Patriots grabbed JJ McCarthy and now have Wilson available in the second round. He is the typical slot receiver that New England loves, in the mold of Julian Edelman and Wes Welker.
35th Pick Arizona Cardinals:
Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama CB
Arizona got their receiver with the 4th pick in the draft, the edge rusher they wanted near the end of the 1st and now they grab a cover corner, who would have gone earlier if he was not injured, which affected his pro day at Alabama.
36th Pick Washington Commanders:
Jordan Morgan, Arizona OT/G
Washington needs to improve the offensive line to help protect the new QB Daniels, drafted with the 2nd pick in the draft. Morgan can play tackle or guard.
37th Pick LA Chargers:
Kamari Lassiter, Georgia CB
The Chargers got the WR they needed in the first round, so they turn to getting one of the top cornerbacks left on the board, which is Lassiter out of Georgia.
38th Pick Tennessee Titans:
Edgerrin Cooper, Texas A&M LB
The Titans are changing their defensive scheme to a 3-4 and Cooper is the best linebacker in this year’s draft. Cooper can do everything at the linebacker position for the Titans.
39th Pick Carolina Panthers:
Patrick Paul, Houston OT
Patrick Paul is a huge lineman, who can use some time learning in the NFL before starting. He can be a big part of the Carolina line to help protect Bryce Young for years to come.
40th Pick Washington Commanders:
Chop Robinson, Penn State DE
Washington traded two starting defensive linemen last season and need to find a pass rusher in this draft. Chop Robinson can fill that spot from day one. He may be a little raw but has great speed and can get off the line quickly.
41st Pick Green Bay Packers:
Mike Sainristil, Michigan CB
The Packers need more help at cornerback and Sainristil helps to fill that void. He was a ball-hawk at Michigan and would fit in well with Green Bay.
42nd Pick Houston Texans:
Jer’Zhan Newton, Illinois DT
Houston is looking to improve on defense in this draft and since the offense just added Stefon Diggs in a trade, defense is the obvious choice here. Newton is fast off the ball and gives it his all on every play.
43rd Pick Atlanta Falcons:
Braden Fiske, Florida State DT
Fiske’s stock rose quickly with a good Senior Bowl and a great Combine. Atlanta improved their offense through free agency, so the priority is defense and Braden gives them a fast and hard-working interior lineman.
44th Pick Las Vegas Raiders:
Michael Penix Jr., Washington QB
The Raiders went CB in round one since the top 5 Quarterbacks were gone, but they get lucky with Penix Jr. still available and they jump at it. Penix has dealt with injuries, but he may have the best arm in the entire quarterback class this year.
45th Pick New Orleans Saints:
Jalen McMillan. Washington WR
There are other WRs higher on the board, but the Saints are looking for a slot receiver to replace Michael Thomas and McMillan is the perfect fit for the Saints.
46th Pick Indianapolis Colts:
Darius Robinson, Missouri DE
The Colts need to add to their pass rushing group and are surprised that Robinson is still available at this point in the draft. At his size, he can rush the QB from anywhere on the line if needed.
47th Pick New York Giants:
Ricky Pearsall, Florida WR
The Giants got their quarterback in round one and they want to add some talent around him and Pearsall is a solid WR with speed and good footwork.
48th Pick Jacksonville Jaguars:
T’Vondre Sweat, Texas DT
The Jaguars want to add a huge DT to take up room and blockers to let the defensive ends get to the quarterback, which they struggled at last season.
49th Pick Cincinnati Bengals:
Devontez Walker, North Carolina WR
The Bengals need to add a WR early in the draft because Tyler Boyd is still a free agent who won’t be back and Tee Higgins has not signed his franchise tag and asked to be traded.
50th Pick Philadelphia Eagles:
Payton Wilson, NC State LB
Wilson is only the second LB worth taking in the first two rounds and Philly can’t pass up the chance at adding Wilson, who can play the run and drop in coverage.
51st Pick Pittsburgh Steelers:
Malachi Corley, Western Kentucky WR
The Steelers traded Diontae Johnson to Carolina so they need to get a receiver early in the draft that has a chance to start right away. Corley is a strong receiver that can get yards after catch, which the Steelers need.
52nd Pick LA Rams:
Kingsley Suamataia, BYU OT
The Rams can let Kingsley learn from the starters at the beginning of the season, but with his skills, he will probably step in at some point this season.
53rd Pick Philadelphia Eagles:
Roger Rosengarten, Washington OT
The Eagles saw their all-world center Jason Kelce retire this offseason and they need line help, and Rosengarten can move inside to guard or play tackle in the NFL.
54th Pick Cleveland Browns:
Maason Smith, LSU DT
The Brown need a big body inside to take up blockers to free up Garrett and the other rushers to avoid as many double-teams, which hurt the team last year.
55th Pick Miami Dolphins:
Zach Frazier, West Virginia C
Miami needs a center and Frazier fits the bill perfectly. He is very athletic so he can become their starting center or even play guard to pull during the run game.
56th Pick Dallas Cowboys:
Jonathon Brooks, Texas RB
The Cowboys let Pollard leave in free agency and they have not replaced him as of now. Brooks will be the first RB off the board and he should start in week one.
57th Pick Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan DE
Tampa lost several defensive starters this offseason and Kneeland would be a huge addition to the starting lineup. Kneeland is athletic and powerful off the line.
58th Pick Green Bay Packers:
Kris Jenkins, Michigan DT
Jenkins brings tons of strength and good speed to the inside of the Green Bay Packers' defensive line, which is one of their top needs in this draft.
59th Pick Houston Texans:
Calen Bullock, USC S
Houston signed a bunch of guys on the defensive side of the ball in free agency, but they still need a roaming free safety and Bullock is the best safety in the draft.
60th Pick Buffalo Bills:
T.J. Tampa, Iowa State CB
Buffalo cut nearly their entire defensive backfield from last year. Tampa is a good press coverage cornerback, who can come in and start right away.
61st Pick Detroit Lions:
Troy Franklin, Oregon WR
The Lions want to add to their receiving room and Franklin would fit right in with this group. Franklin is a deep threat and has the speed to fit that role in the Motor City.
62nd Pick Baltimore Ravens:
Cooper Beebe, Kansas State G
The Ravens lost both starting guards in free agency this offseason and Beebe would fit right in to Baltimore, as he can help with the run and pass block.
63rd Pick San Francisco 49ers:
Mason McCormick, South Dakota State G/C
San Francisco needs help on the line to protect Purdy and McCormick is the right man for the job. He is able to start at either guard spot as well as play center as needed.
64th Pick Kansas City Chiefs:
Tyler Nubin, Minnesota S
The Chiefs traded Sneed away recently and Nubin has the same ball-hawk skills at the safety position, but he can also come up near the line of scrimmage as well.
3rd Round:
65th Pick Carolina Panthers:
Ja’Tavion Sanders, Texas TE
Carolina is looking to help Bryce Young in every way they can this season, and Sanders is a big receiving tight end that can help the passing game right away.
66th Pick Arizona Cardinals:
Chris Braswell, Alabama DE
Arizona can completely upgrade their pass rush in the first three rounds.
67th Pick Washington Commanders:
Adisa Isaac, Penn State DE
Washington can make up for the two DL trades last year with both Penn State DEs.
68th Pick New England Patriots:
Max Melton, Rutgers CB
The Patriots need depth at CB and Max will give them much more than just depth.
69th Pick LA Chargers:
Christian Haynes, UConn G
Chargers need help in the middle for the running game and Haynes fits the mold.
70th Pick New York Giants:
Jaylen Wright, Tennessee RB
Barkley was a huge loss for New York. He did everything on offense. They signed Devin Singletary, but Wright would be a huge complement in the backfield.
71st Pick Arizona Cardinals:
Trey Benson, Florida State RB
Arizona wanted to draft a RB later, but did not want to miss out on a top 3 RB.
72nd Pick New York Jets:
Jaden Hicks, Washington State S
New York needs to add to the secondary and Hicks is a big hitter at safety.
73rd Pick Detroit Lions:
Bralen Trice, Washington DE
Trice could be the answer as the edge rusher to play opposite Hutchinson.
74th Pick Atlanta Falcons:
Andru Phillips, Kentucky CB
Atlanta continues to add to their defense with Phillips, who can play inside or outside at the corner position.
75th Pick Chicago Bears:
Jonah Elliss, Utah DE
Chicago traded for Montez Sweat last year and Elliss can complement him on the other side.
76th Pick Denver Broncos:
Khyree Jackson, Oregon CB
Denver needs a corner and Jackson’s length and size would help against division teams.
77th Pick Las Vegas Raiders:
Brenden Rice, USC WR
Vegas needs someone to complement Davante Adams. Who better than Jerry Rice’s son?
78th Pick Washington Commanders:
Kris Abrams-Draine, Missouri CB
Washington is sticking to the plan and drafting positions of need to help in the draft.
79th Pick Atlanta Falcons:
Junior Colson, Michigan LB
Colson may be able to step right into a starting job or will sooner than later.
80th Pick Cincinnati Bengals:
Michael Hall, Ohio State DT
The Bengals want to add depth at DT so players can stay fresh during the game.
81st Pick Seattle Seahawks:
Ruke Orhorhoro, Clemson DT
Seattle re-signed Leonard Williams and Orhorhoro can fit right next to him on the line.
82nd Pick Indianapolis Colts:
Ja’Lynn Polk, Washington WR
The Colts see Polk as a screen receiver and a yards after the catch threat.
83rd Pick Los Angeles Rams:
D.J. James, Auburn CB
One of the Rams needs in the draft is depth at CB and James can help right away.
84th Pick Pittsburgh Steelers:
Javon Bullard, Georgia S
The Steelers always seem to need a safety to play opposite Minkah Fitzpatrick. Bullard can play back at safety or even come up and play as a hybrid linebacker.
85th Pick Cleveland Browns:
Jaylan Ford, Texas LB
The Browns are surprised Ford lasted this long and could not pass on him.
86th Pick Houston Texans:
Dominick Puni, Kansas G
Houston needs help on the line and Puni can start at guard, center or even tackle.
87th Pick Dallas Cowboys:
Jermaine Burton, Alabama WR
The Cowboys are expected to take a WR and Burton can help right away playing with Lamb as the possession receiver.
88th Pick Green Bay Packers:
Jeremiah Trotter Jr., Clemson LB
Green Bay is filling all their needs in this draft one by one and Trotter is a big run stopping LB that will help this defense immediately.
89th Pick TB Buccaneers:
Renardo Green, Florida State CB
Tampa traded a starting corner in the offseason, so Green can come in to add depth at the cornerback position, possibly easy start in certain packages.
90th Pick Arizona Cardinals:
Zak Zinter, Michigan G
Arizona needs interior line help to protect Kyler Murray and help with the rushing attack and Zinter can do that immediately.
91st Pick Green Bay Packers:
Gabriel Murphy, UCLA DE
The Packers can use help getting to the QB more often and Murphy has proved at UCLA that he can do that on a regular basis.
92nd Pick Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Brandon Dorlus, Oregon DT
The Bucs can use the depth in rotation on the inside of the defensive line.
93rd Pick Baltimore Ravens:
Christian Jones, Texas OT
Ravens traded their starting RT and Jones could step right in if they need him to.
94th Pick San Francisco 49ers:
Blake Fisher, Notre Dame OT
The 49ers have talked about improving the offensive line overall to protect Purdy.
95th Pick Kansas City Chiefs:
Beaux Limmer, Arkansas C
The Chiefs are looking to improve the OL and Limmer can play Center or Guard.
96th Pick Jacksonville Jaguars:
Kiran Amegadjie, Yale OT
Jaguars are looking to improve their OL and Kiran can help with depth for them.
97th Pick Cincinnati Bengals:
Theo Johnson, Penn State TE
Cincy is happy to add Theo Johnson at TE as another weapon for Joe Burrow.
98th Pick Pittsburgh Steelers:
DeWayne Carter, Duke DT
Pittsburgh needs to add depth to the DL, as Cam Heyward is getting older.
99th Pick Los Angeles Rams:
Javon Baker, Central Florida WR
The Rams can’t pass up on Walker at WR, he’s the best receiver left in the draft.
100th Pick Washington Commanders:
Jamari Thrash, Louisville WR
Washington decides to add to the wide receiver room at the end of the 3rd round.

There are still going to be a group of players that will be signed as undrafted free agents. Quarterbacks are always picked up to add depth to teams as well as to see if they can be viable backups in the NFL. This year, most teams will be looking to add a kick returner to help based on the new kick-off rules put in place for this season.
This mock draft does not include trades, but there is a high probability that a couple teams will try to move up for the chance at the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft which can drastically change the picks, mostly in the 1st round.
Of course, big changes can still occur leading up to the draft as free agents are signing with teams, which can change strategies, and draft day trades can be announced before the draft if teams can come to an early agreement.
