Across the college football landscape this past week, many of the 2026 NFL draft prospects took to the field, but three among them really made their mark. Draft Nation offers a weekly insight into which players did well, and this week, the analysis has to start in Oklahoma, where the Sooners defeated the Michigan Wolverines.
John Mateer (Oklahoma, QB)
Draft Nation offered its in-season player profile of Mateer just in time for the game on Saturday, and he didn’t disappoint. The Oklahoma quarterback threw for 270 yards and a score and then added a second touchdown on the ground in the Sooners’ 24–13 home win.
Mateer’s dual-threat capabilities were on display all night, as he routinely escaped the pocket and picked up yardage with his legs while chucking the ball downfield with accuracy. From a scouting perspective, analysts took note of his mobility and arm strength, both of which are critical to his ability to play at the next level. Mateer left no doubt that he’s a potential late first, early second round talent, and he took the first step to cementing his draft stock in the win.
Mansoor Delane (LSU, CB)
The Virginia Tech transfer continued to improve his draft stock with back-to-back performances in weeks one and two. After shutting down the Clemson air attack in the “game of the week”, Delane showed out this Saturday with another inspired performance against Louisiana Tech, logging four solo tackles and adding one interception, helping to secure the win.
Delane was one of the off-season’s hottest transfer portal players, and he’s delivered for LSU early. He’s turning into a shutdown corner and can play in multiple positions, elevating his value in next year’s draft. So far, LSU has deployed Delane against opponents’ best receivers and he has held up admirably. As the SEC schedule plays out, Delane’s performance will determine if he continues to rise up NFL draft boards.
Beau Pribula (QB, Missouri)
Penn State transfer quarterback Beau Pribula took a big step on Saturday, leading the Missouri Tigers in a comeback win against Kansas. While perhaps not a common name yet in NFL war rooms, Pribula led the Tig3rs to victory, tossing 30 of 39 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns. He showed both poise and accuracy in the come-from-behind victory by playing calmly and throwing zero interceptions.
Pribula converted on 4 of 5 fourth-down attempts, including turning one attempt into a touchdown pass. He took full advantage of his situation and made up for an early fumble that cost his team a Kansas score, also demonstrating pro-level arm strength and accuracy in the win.
