The 2024 NHL Draft will be here before you know it, and Draft 412 will preview some of the prospects who will be probable first round picks. Draft 412 will review the strengths and weaknesses of each prospect, and where they should land in the NHL Draft.
Name- Sacha Boisvert
Pos- C
Team- Muskegon (USHL)
HT/WT- 6’2” 176 lbs
Born- 3/17/2006
Home – Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada
Sacha Boisvert was born in Trois-Rivieres, QC, Canada and after scoring 94 points in 56 games for the Mount St. Charles Acad 15U AAA team in 2021-2022, he signed with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL. In 2022-2023, Boisvert tallied 17 goals and 28 assists for the Lumberjacks and was named to the 2023 USHL All-Rookie Second Team and alternate captain.
In his 2023-2024 season he put up over a point a game, scoring 36 goals and 32 assists in 61 games.
Boisvert has committed to North Dakota University and will play there in 2024-2025.
Sacha Boisvert gets rave reviews from coaches and scouts who say he is as mature as any other 17-year-old player they have seen in years. His work ethic and leadership qualities are unique for a player of his age and he is willing to do whatever the team needs to help them become successful. Boisvert has a deadly wrist shot and excels at cutting across the slot and shooting the opposite direction. His power and accuracy of his wrist shot should make him a weapon on a team's power play unit. His versatility is also going to win over NHL GM's. He has played on the power play and shorthanded teams at Muskegon and will be a player that a team can use in all game situations.

Weaknesses
Draft Nation is not saying that Sacha Boisvert will ever reach the numbers that Anze Kopitar has amassed, but the two players are cut from the same cloth. Boisvert's work ethic on and off the ice will be a big reason why he can develop into a successful 2nd line center in the NHL. He will have a couple of years at North Dakota to put some muscle and bulk on his 6'2" frame and must continue to improve in his trouble areas. Coaches will absolutely love his play and a team's patience with him will be rewarded.
Sacha Boisvert's lack of elite skating should have him sliding down draft boards, but his overall work ethic, versatility, size and wrist shot will keep him in the first round, around pick 20-32. He is a high character player that an organization will be glad to have.
