Read The Room: Atlanta Falcons 2026 Fantasy Football Preview

The Atlanta Falcons haven't been able to get out of their own way since their last playoff appearance in 2017. Every season feels the same: enough talent to compete, too many close losses, and another offseason spent searching for answers at head coach or quarterback.

That may finally change with Kevin Stefanski. Atlanta has elite fantasy talent at running back, wide receiver, and tight end, but whether those players reach their fantasy ceilings depends on one question: can Stefanski finally bring stability to the franchise?

Stefanski has shown he can build an offense around his personnel. During his time in Cleveland, he led the Browns to two playoff appearances despite constant turnover at quarterback. Rotowire ranks Atlanta's offensive line 12th entering the season, giving this offense a solid foundation. Now the biggest decision is simple: who starts at quarterback?

Quarterbacks

Atlanta's quarterback room features two former blue-chip prospects with extensive injury histories. Michael Penix Jr. is recovering from a third ACL tear, while Tua Tagovailoa has handled most of the first-team reps throughout training camp. Tua hasn't generated much camp buzz, while Penix seems to make a highlight play almost every day.

I believe Tua starts Week 1 because this coaching staff brought him in. I also think he'll be on a short leash. If the offense struggles, I wouldn't be surprised if Penix takes over by Week 4.

That's why I'm betting on Penix in dynasty. I think he's capable of keeping the offense on schedule and raising the weekly floor for Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts. Both quarterbacks are inexpensive in fantasy drafts, but Penix offers the better long-term value.

Running Backs

It's all about Bijan.

Stefanski has historically preferred using multiple backs, but Brian Robinson isn't the same caliber complement that Tyler Allgeier was. Bijan remains my 1.01 without hesitation and one of the safest fantasy picks in football.

Robinson should surpass 100 touches and steal a handful of touchdowns, making him a quality handcuff but not someone I'm actively targeting.

Wide Receivers

The Falcons may have their best receiver room since the Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley era.

Drake London finished as WR6 in points per game last season and remains one of the league's true alpha receivers. The bigger fantasy story is rookie Zachariah Branch, who has become one of training camp's biggest standouts.

Branch is currently WR71 and outside the top 200 overall in Rotowire rankings. I don't expect that to last. If he continues stacking strong practices, I wouldn't be surprised if he climbs 70-80 spots in ADP before fantasy draft season ends.

I'm paying full price for London, aggressively targeting Branch, and passing on Jahan Dotson. The camp buzz has centered around Branch, and that's where I want my investment.

Tight Ends

The Falcons reunited with Austin Hooper on a one-year deal, giving Stefanski another familiar face from his Cleveland days.

Kyle Pitts is somehow being drafted as TE9 after finishing as TE2 in 2025. I'd draft him ahead of George Kittle and Harold Fannin Jr. because of his ceiling, role, and Stefanski's history of featuring tight ends.

Pitts should once again see 100-plus targets. Hooper could carve out enough red zone work to become a fantasy TE2, but Pitts remains one of my favorite values at the position.

Final Thoughts

Atlanta doesn't lack talent, it lacks consistency.

If Kevin Stefanski stabilizes the quarterback position and this team finally starts winning close games, Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts all have league-winning fantasy upside.
