The Rams had the NFL's No. 1 offense in 2025, scoring 518 points. The second-place Patriots finished nearly 40 points behind, and the Pats did it while playing one of the league's easiest schedules.
Los Angeles Rams
ESPN FPI Ranking: 1
There's a lot to like. Matthew Stafford looked rejuvenated. Puka Nacua and Davante Adams formed one of the league's best receiving duos. Blake Corum broke out in the second half of the season while Kyren Williams continued producing as an RB1.
So why am I hesitant? Because the Rams are a much better football team heading into 2026.
They completely rebuilt their cornerback room and added Myles Garrett, giving them a defense that should keep them out of the weekly shootouts we saw last season. That's great for winning football games, but not always great for fantasy. Better defenses usually mean fewer possessions, fewer pass attempts, and less pressure to score 35 points every week.
There are other concerns, too. Puka Nacua’s offseason has been… interesting. Adams is another year older. Jordan Whittington still hasn't become fantasy relevant after two seasons in Los Angeles. And for the first time in years, the running back room feels a little crowded. Kyren Williams has been the unquestioned workhorse for three seasons, but Blake Corum earned a larger role down the stretch and could eat into that workload.
Matt Stafford isn’t going to throw the football almost 600 times in 2026. He’s not going to need to. What we could see is a 10% uptick in rushing attempts while the clock ticks to secure those wins, both Williams and Corum could provide value.
Maybe I'm overthinking it.
My hope is we still get 90% of the offense we saw in 2025. Puka remains a top-10 wide receiver. Adams is still a reliable weekly starter. Stafford finishes as a top-10 fantasy quarterback. And Corum doesn't siphon enough touches to knock Kyren Williams out of RB1 territory.
That's the best-case scenario. It just feels a little less likely than the fantasy community wants to admit.
