The 2024 college football season is coming to an end, so you know what that means? The 2025 NFL draft is coming soon, as well. Draft Nation is here to guide you through the prospects and how they can help NFL teams.

Here is a three pack of Oregon players who are looking to get selected in the 2025 NFL draft.

Defensive Tackle Derrick Harmon, Oregon

6-foot-5 320 lbs

2024 stats: 14 games 45 tackles 11 TFL 5 sacks

What to like about Derrick Harmon

Derrick Harmon, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound defensive tackle has the combination of size and strength to be a force in the middle of the defensive line. He has ample length and when he lands his direct hit on an offensive lineman's chest he wins most battles. Harmon plays the game with high energy and through every whistle. Harmon can line up all over the defensive front and his versatility allows him to play in any defensive scheme. Harmon is a physical specimen who can win battles several different ways. At 320-pounds he is able to move fluidly and has exceptional agility for a man his size.

Reason for concern

On the downside, Harmon can play with his pads too high and when he does, he loses his power and struggles to disengage blockers. Heis limited with his pass rush moves and needs to incorporate different spins and stunts to his game. He loves to bullrush the collegiate offensive lineman, but may not have the same success against the professionals. Harmon needs to play with more overall consistency, as he can go a majority of a game without being noticed. When he gets double teamed he needs to do a better job of anchoring down and not being moved. Harmon's power seems to come from his upper body, and will need to get stronger in the lower half.

NFL Player Comparison

Javon Kinlaw

Draft Nation sees a lot of Javon Kinlaw when watching Derrick Harmon. Kinlaw was a first round pick and the two share a lot of the same traits. Both are 6-foot-5 and physical and play hard throughout the whistle. Kinlaw has not had the start to his career that many thought he would, but is still a steady starter in the NFL. Harmon with his size and physicality should be able to match the numbers Kinlaw has put up.

Draft Projection

Second or Third round pick

Offensive Tackle Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon

6-foot-4 315 lbs

2024 stats: 14 starts

What to like about Josh Conerly Jr.

The first thing that stands out on film when watching Conerly is his footwork and speed, and his ability to get to the second level with a fluidity scouts don't often see in larger players. He is a very strong pass blocker who has the perfect mechanics and kick slide to set up in an instant. Conerly combines his footwork and speed to create superior lateral movement and possesses an agility not seen by many tackles in this class. He understands assignments and does an effective job in combo blocks and plays with high energy to make more than one block per play. In Oregon's high powered and spread out offense he is able to be a big part of getting out in front of screens and jet sweeps.

Reason for concern

With Oregon's offense being a quick strike and wide open offense, Conerly's speed is needed, but he lacks the game strength to anchor down against the bigger edge rushers. He will have to add some upper body strength or he may struggle in NFL battles. Conerly will need to work on his hand placement and strength. When he lands his original punch off center he can have problems driving through the block. He is a much better pass blocker at this point in his career than he is a run blocker but can explode off the snap too high causing balance issues that affect his power. He committed eight penalties in 2023 and can have some lapses in concentration.

NFL Draft Comparison

Terron Armstead

Ok Draft Nation does not believe that Josh Conerly Jr. is going to match the career Terron Armstead has had. However, Conerly's athleticism compares to Armstead. Armstead has the fastest time at the combine by an offensive tackle at 4.71, and Draft Nation thinks Conerly could challenge that mark. He will need to get stronger and improve his run blocking to even start to be mentioned with a player of Armstead's ilk. The ceiling is very high for Conerly, but if he does not get stronger and improve his overall play, he could also be a bust.

Draft Projection

Second or Third round pick

Wide Receiver Tez Johnson, Oregon

5-foot-10  165 lbs

2024 stats: 12 games 83 receptions 898 yards 10 touchdowns

What to like about Tez Johnson

Tez Johnson can get to top speed almost instantly with his explosive release off the line of scrimmage. He is able to change tempo and fly by corners who get complacent. The Duck receiver comes in and out of breaks quickly and is tough to cover one-on-one. He has experience running the whole route tree between Troy and Oregon and can line up anywhere in an offensive set. He can take a screen or a slant pass to the house, and is a big play waiting to happen. Once he hauls in a pass he becomes a danger with excellent speed and cutting ability. Johnson has returned kicks in the past and could be a definite weapon in the return game.

Reason for concern

The biggest knock against Johnson is his 165-pound frame. Many scouts may question his durability at the NFL level. Although he explodes off the snap, press coverage may hinder his ability to get to top speed as effectively as he has in college. Johnson is not very physical in the run game and does not offer a lot in the way of blocking on the outside. He has had concentration drops throughout his career and tends to try and make a move before securing the pass.

NFL Player Comparison

Jaylen Waddle

When watching the way Tez Johnson runs his routes and his explosiveness off the line, Draft Nation was reminded of former first round pick Jaylen Waddle. He does not have the ceiling that Waddle had coming out of Alabama, but does have the big play ability to become a starting wide receiver in the NFL. At worst, Johnson will be a solid No. 3 receiver who excels from the slot.

Draft Projection

Second or Third round pick
