College
University of California – Los Angeles – UCLA
Muasau attended Mililani High School in Hawaii, where he was a linebacker and running back. As a senior, he was named to the USA Today All-USA Hawaii Football Second Team. He earned a 3-star recruit from 247 Sports and a 2-star rating from rivals.com. He was not very highly recruited, and chose to join Hawai'i over an offer from Portland State.
As a freshman, he played as a backup linebacker and special teamer for the beginning of the year before injuries thrust him into heightened snaps. He played in all 15 games, making 4 starts. He tallied 60 tackles on the year.
His sophomore and junior seasons were quite an impressive two year span during which Muasau played in 22 games, and recorded 210 tackles, 23.5 TFL, and 11.5 sacks, eclipsing the 100 tackle mark in both seasons. This impressive efficiency and production earned him some transfer portal attention.
Muasau transferred to UCLA following his junior year, and made an immediate impact, totaling 91 tackles, 3 TFL and 1 sack. He then returned to UCLA this season for his last year of college football. He made another impressive campaign as he tallied 75 tackles, 10.5 TFL, and 4 sacks.
