Donovan Jackson

Donovan Jackson played at Episcopal High School in Bellaire, Texas. He had a decorated high school career which saw him get invited to the Army All-American Bowl game. He was the #1 player in Texas and the #1 guard in the country. 247Sports rated him a five-star prospect and the No.17 overall player coming out of high school. He selected Ohio State and became their highest rated offensive lineman in their 2021 recruiting class. He earned his first varsity letter in 2021, playing in all 13 games for the Buckeyes. He played primarily as a rotational sub on their offensive line. Jackson started all 13 games in 2022 and helped the Ohio State offense rank No. 9 nationally in total offense (490.2) and No. two in scoring (44.2). He tied his teammates Paris Johnson, Jr. and Luke Wypler for most plays from scrimmage with 827. He was named first-team All-Big Ten after the season. He entered 2023 as a Draft Nation preseason first-team All-American. He played in 12 games during the 2023 season but was very inconsistent in his play. He came into the season as a first round talent who may have slipped to the middle of the draft. His unsteady play in 2023 led to him deciding to come back to Ohio State for the 2024 season.
