Layden Robinson was a 4-star center who played at Manvel High School in Texas. He was a unanimous selection as a first-team 11-5A All-District team and was a consistent performer all through his high school career. He was voted to the high school All-Star game 3 times and after his senior season, he was nominated for the Houston area UIL Offensive Player of the Year finalist by the Houston Touchdown Club. He committed to Texas A&M during his senior year.
Robinson redshirted in 2019 after playing in only 3 games during the season. He earned the Offensive Scout Team Player and Freshman Strength Awards during the annual team banquet. In 2020, he played in all 10 games, mostly on special teams,though he did play 32 snaps at right guard. As a sophomore in 2021, he started all 10 games he played at right guard. He was awarded the Offensive Toughness Award and the Offensive Aggie Award at the team banquet. He was also named the AP All-SEC second team for his solid performance.
He started all 12 games in 2022. He was a part of an offensive line that cleared the way for 1,000 yard rusher De’Von Achane. This season, he started 11 games at right tackle and once again was a proven leader on the Aggies' offensive line and a riser on draft boards.
