Ovie Oghoufo attended Harrison High School in Michigan. He earned a 3-star recruit rating over his high school years from ESPN, 247 Sports and rivals.com. He chose to join Notre Dame following his prep career.
He redshirted his first year at Notre Dame, playing in just one game. He played in 8 games in each of his next two seasons with the Irish, totaling 33 tackles in that span. He also had 2.5 sacks in each of these two seasons before choosing to transfer to Texas.
In his two seasons at Texas, he played as a starting edge rusher, playing in 25 games. Over this stretch he made 96 tackles including 14 TFL and 4.5 sacks. Despite his impressive efforts and draft hopes following the 2022 season, he chose to transfer to LSU for his final college season.
This season with LSU, he played in 13 games making 34 tackles including 4.0 TFL and 2.5 sacks.
