Eric Watts

Eric Watts attended Sumter High School in South Carolina. He earned a 3-star rating from ESPN and 247 Sports. He was not very highly recruited out of high school and chose to join UConn. As a freshman, Watts played in 12 games, making 30 tackles in his limited snaps. In 10 games as a sophomore, he made 39 tackles including 6 TFL, 0.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery. In 2022 as a junior, Watts had his first season as a full time starter. In 13 games, he made 49 tackles which was good for fifth on the team. He also led the team in TFL and sacks with 10 and 7 respectively. Watts returned for his senior season, and saw his numbers dip a bit as he tallied 34 tackles, 6.5 TFL, and 2 sacks on the year.
