Jaydn Ott went to high school at Bishop Gorman HS for his first two seasons and finished up at Norco HS. As a prep, he rushed for 2,236 yards and 30 touchdowns. 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals each rated him as a four-star prospect. After several offers, Ott decided to stay close to home and play football at the University of California.
During his freshman season, Ott played in all 12 games with starts in each of the last 10. He earned All-True Freshman team honors , as well as first-team Freshman All-American honors. He finished his first collegiate season rushing for 897 yards and 11 total touchdowns. He was also efficient out of the backfield, catching 46 passes for 345 yards.
Ott had an impressive sophomore campaign in 2023, running for 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns. His big season did not go unnoticed, he was an Honorable mention All-American by Phil Steele.
