Maema Njongmeta

Maema Njongmeta attended Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois. In his senior season, he tallied 131 tackles, 23 TFLs, 10 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. He was a 4-star recruit via ESPN, and received 3-star grades from rivals.com and 247 Sports. He chose to join Wisconsin following high school. Over his first two years at Wisconsin, he played in one game, redshirting his freshman year. He played in 6 games in his third year, making 4 tackles in his limited snaps. Njongmeta had his breakout year in 2022 when he played in 13 games making 11 starts. He was the team leader in tackles with 95. He also had 12.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions on the year. He returned to Wisconsin this year for his fifth season. He played in 13 games making 10 starts. He was fifth on the team with 59 tackles, adding 8.5 TFL and 3 sacks.
