Wiley attended Strake Jesuit High School in Texas. He totaled 2,632 rushing yards on 340 carries with 29 touchdowns over junior and senior seasons. He earned 3-star ratings from ESPN, rivals.com and 247 Sports. He chose to join Arizona over offers from Princeton, Yale, and McNeese State.
As a freshman, Wiley played in all 12 games, starting 1 game at running back. He rushed 31 times for 106 yards, adding 18 receptions for 165 yards.
He had a similar season as a sophomore with 31 more rushes but double the yardage with 222 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Wiley rushed 91 times as a junior for 302 and 2 touchdowns. He added 33 receptions for 297 yards and 4 touchdowns.
