Ryder Ritchie

Ryder Ritchie was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and played for Team Canada White in the U17 Hockey Challenge in 2022. They finished 6th in the tournament but Ritchie did score 4 goals in 6 games.
Ritchie was selected 14th overall in the 2021 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft by the Prince Albert Raiders. During the 2022-2023 season, he scored 20 goals and added 35 assists in 61 games. In the summer of 2023, he joined the national under-18 team for the first time at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he scored 3 goals and 9 points en route to a gold medal.
For Prince Albert in 2023-2024, Ritchie suffered a lower body injury and missed several games as a result. He finished the regular season with 44 points in 47 games. This past spring, he played for Canada in the 2024 IIHF World U18 Championships and helped lead them to another gold after scoring 4 goals and 4 assists in 7 games.
Ritchie is the son of former NHL player Bryon Ritchie, who played for the Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames, and Vancouver Canucks in his 8-year career.
