Read the Room: Seattle Seahawks 2026 Fantasy Football Breakdown

The 2025 Seahawks humbled me. I'll admit it, I was one of their biggest doubters. I didn't think Sam Darnold could win a playoff game, let alone a Super Bowl. I wasn't impressed with the running back room. I had zero shares of Jaxon Smith-Njigba. In fact, the only player I really believed in was Cooper Kupp... and I was wrong about all of it.

I bring that up because I catch myself feeling the exact same way about Seattle heading into 2026.

The only difference? I'm not quite as high on Kupp this time around. That said, I'm not writing him off either. There's a world where he settles into a George Kittle-like role as a reliable chain mover underneath.

Crazy? Maybe.

Seattle's fantasy success starts with Sam Darnold continuing to play efficient, mistake-free football while Jaxon Smith-Njigba proves his breakout season wasn't a one-year wonder. From there, they'll need some new faces to contribute. Jadarian Price and Manny Wilson have to give this offense another dimension, and someone besides JSN has to command meaningful targets because defenses are going to make life much more difficult for him in 2026.

The biggest wildcard is new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury. We simply don't know what his offense will look like or whether he'll be able to build on the system that helped unlock Seattle's passing game last season.

Personally, I think the tight end room could be the key.

Sam Darnold has supported fantasy relevant tight ends before, and I expect Seattle to lean heavily on 12 and 13 personnel once again. AJ Barner quietly finished as the TE14 in his second season, while Elijah Arroyo brings intriguing upside after being selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The running back room also deserves attention. Manny Wilson produced RB2 & RB1 numbers when he played at least half the offensive snaps in 2025, and Jadarian Price adds another explosive option while allowing Zach Charbonnet to fully recover instead of being rushed back into action.

I'm less optimistic about the wide receivers outside of JSN unless we're living in the universe where Cooper Kupp sees 100 targets while averaging seven yards per catch.
