Stogner grew up in Plano, Texas and attended Prestonwood Christian Academy. As a senior, he had 50 receptions for 691 yards and six touchdowns. Stogner was rated a four star recruit and committed to play college football at Oklahoma over offers from Nebraska, LSU and Ohio State.
Stogner played in all 14 of Oklahoma's games as a true freshman and caught seven passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he became the starter and hauled in 26 receptions for 422 yards and three touchdowns while missing the final three regular season games due to a knee injury.
While recovering from his surgery, he contracted a staph infection which hindered his playing ability in his junior year and caused him to lose 35 pounds. He played in nine games and caught 14 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns. After the season, Lincoln Riley left for USC, causing Stogner to enter his name into the transfer portal.
Stogner followed his QB, Spencer Rattler and committed to South Carolina out of the portal for the 2022 season. He hauled in 20 receptions for 210 and one touchdown, then reentered the transfer portal to play his final season of eligibility at Oklahoma. This season, he had 17 receptions for 196 yards and one touchdown to finish his college career.
