BioAnalysis
Jaden Crumedy played football and basketball at Oak Grove High School in Mississippi. As a junior, he posted 87 tackles, 29 TFL, and 12 sacks on his way to being elected to participate in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game. Entering his senior year, he was rated a four-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals. Each organization also had him as a top-five recruit in Mississippi. After his monster senior season where he totaled 111 tackles, 28.5 TFL, and 14.5 sacks, he was named Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen and was tabbed Hattiesburg American all-area first team. Crumedy decided to stay close to home and committed to Mississippi State. Crumedy redshirted in 2018 after only appearing in 2 games for the Bulldogs. As a redshirt freshman, he had an excellent spring camp and became a huge part of the Mississippi State defensive line. He appeared in 11 games with 7 starts and tallied 18 tackles, 2 TFL and 1 sack on the season. After being a part of the defensive line rotation in 2019, Crumedy became a fixture at defensive tackle for Mississippi State in 2020. He started all 11 games for the Bulldogs and collected 31 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 2 sacks, and 3 quarterback hurries. He once again was a force to be reckoned with in 2021 for the Bulldogs, starting all 12 games. He made plays all over the field, including blocking a field goal against Louisiana Tech and being credited with 20 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack, and 7 quarterback hurries. What many thought was going to be a breakout season for Crumedy in 2022 was quickly derailed by an injury he suffered in the pre-season. He ended up playing the final 5 games and finished with 15 tackles, 5 TFL, and 2 sacks for the Bulldogs. After his injury riddled season, Crumedy decided to come back to Mississippi State for a 6th season in 2023. He once again started all 12 games and set career highs in tackles with 35 and sacks with 2.5. He finished his career making 39 consecutive starts for Mississippi State.
