Jarrian Jones attended Northwest Rankin High School in Mississippi. There, he earned 4-star recruit ratings from ESPN, rivals.com and 247 Sports. His list of offers is impressive as he received offers from several power 5 schools. Out of these offers, he chose to join Mississippi State.
In his freshman season, Jones saw action in 11 games, making 12 tackles off the bench. Following the season, he decided to transfer to Florida State. He had a similar season as a sophomore, playing in 8 games and making 18 tackles.
His first full season came in 2021 when he played 12 games and recorded 22 tackles and one interception. He had a similar season in 2022 as a senior as he made 19 tackles and one more interception.
Jones chose to return to Florida State in 2023 for his graduate season and had what many consider to be his best college season. His 25 tackles and 3 interceptions were both career highs.
