Joshua Farmer is a defensive tackle from Port Saint Joe, FL, and played his high school football at Gadsden County High School where he was a three-year starter. Farmer recorded 84 tackles, including 5.5 for loss with 2.0 sacks, and two fumble recoveries as a sophomore. He earned first-team All-Big Bend recognition as a junior and helped Jaguars reach semifinal round of 2020 Florida Class 4A state playoffs in his final season of high school. He was graded as a Four-star recruit by ESPN and a Three-star by Rivals.com and 247Sports. He chose Florida State over offers from Miami, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and more.
In Farmer’s first college season with the Seminoles, he played four games and made one tackle. He was redshirted and maintained eligibility. In his second year, he played in all 13 games for FSU and recorded 15 tackles including six TFL and two sacks. He solidified himself as an important piece of the Seminole defensive front going forward and earned himself more reps for this season with the Noles.
In 2023, Farmer played in 12 of the 13 games for FSU and started 10 of them. He has tallied 32 tackles including 7 TFL, five sacks and a forced fumble. He has been an impact player for the Seminoles and part of one of the best defensive fronts in the country.
