Rylie Mills

Rylie Mills played his high school football at Lake Forest High School and had his best season in 2019 where he posted 45 tackles, 14 TFL and five sacks in just seven games. These numbers and Mills’ size turned plenty of heads in the college football world. He earned a Four-star recruit rating from ESPN, 247sports, and Rivals.com and had several power Five offers and chose Notre Dame as his next step in his football career. As a freshman, Mills played in nine games, making seven tackles including two TFL and 0.5 sacks. He made his first collegiate start in Notre Dame’s last game of the season which was the CFP Semifinal against Alabama in the Rose Bowl. In his sophomore year, he played in each of Notre Dame’s 13 games, but did not start any. He had 16 tackles including three TFL and three sacks. This earned him a starting role in his junior year. In Mills’ junior season, he started nine of the 13 games he played, recording 24 tackles including six TFL and 3.5 sacks. In 2023, Mills has started 13 games and has collected 47 tackles, 5.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks. Mills decided to return to Notre Dame for the 2024 season.
