Tanor Bortolini is an interior offensive lineman from Kewaunee High School in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. During his high school career, he was a two-time Packerland Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year, and was First-team all-state on offensive line as a senior. He earned 3-star recruiting grades from 247Sports, Rivals.com and ESPN. He chose Wisconsin over offers from Miami, Syracuse, Iowa, and others.
In his first season at Wisconsin in 2020, Bortolini played just two games, redshirting to retain eligibility. In his second year, he played in 10 games, making 5 starts at guard for the Badgers and providing a steady presence off the bench and as a starter.
In his third year, Bortolini made a name for himself as he played in 11 games making 10 starts. He was one of the most versatile, yet consistent linemen not just in the conference, but in the country. In his 11 games, he made six starts at left guard, two at right guard, one at center and one at tight end. According to PFF, he allowed only one sack on the year, providing great security and consistency on the line. He returned to Wisconsin this season and played in another 12 games for the Badgers, only allowing one sack on the season once again.
