Myles Murphy

Myles Murphy attended James B. Dudley High School in North Carolina. Murphy tallied an impressive 123 tackles, 19.5 sacks and 39 TFL over his final two prep seasons, earning himself 4-star recruiting ratings from ESPN, rivals.com, and 247 Sports. He had an extensive list of offers after high school, and chose to join North Carolina. As a true freshman, Murphy appeared in all 12 games for the tar Heels off the bench, making 8 tackles including 2 TFL and 1 sack. In his sophomore season, he started all 13 games and made 38 tackles including 8 TFL and 4 sacks which were both good for second on the team. He earned himself an All-ACC Second Team selection. in 2022, he played in all 14 games, making 12 starts. His numbers dipped a bit as he made 29 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and 1 sack on the year. He chose to return for his senior season in 2023. As a senior this season, Murphy started all 13 games, tallying 24 tackles, 4.5 TFL and a sack, and earning an All-ACC Honorable Mention.
