Bazzana attended Turramurra High School in Australia and llettered in cricket while playing for the Sydney Blue Sox of the Australian Baseball League from 2018 to 2021. He then made the jump to the US, making his way to Oregon State.
Bazzana made an immediate impact as a freshman, getting 245 at bats and batting .306 with .478 slugging. He drove in 44 RBI and hit 6 home runs on the year, earning al All-Pac 12 First Team and Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American selections.
As a sophomore, he had 238 more at bats and hit for a .378 average with .622 slugging. He hit 11 home runs and drove in 55 runs on the year, earning another All-Pac 12 First Team selection.
Bazzana is a junior this season and is on pace to have his best season yet by far. He has already surpassed his home run total from last year with 14 home runs in the first 23 games of the season. He is on the list of players competing to be the first overall pick in this season's draft, and hopes to keep up his impressive performance he's put up so far this year.
