Lovett attended East Saint Louis High School where he was a four-star recruit and the overall #52 wide receiver prospect. He put up huge numbers his junior season when he caught 73 passes for 1,541 yards and 16 touchdowns. He missed his senior season due to Covid-19. After originally committing to Arizona State, he flipped to Missouri during his senior year.
As a freshman at Missouri, Lovett played in 13 games mostly on special teams but did start six games later in the season at wide receiver. He finished the season with 26 receptions for 173 yards with most of his receptions coming off quick screens and slants.
Last season, Lovett finished 4th in the SEC in regular season receiving yards with 846 to go along with his 56 receptions and 3 touchdowns. After the season, he decided to enter the transfer portal and very quickly selected Georgia as his next destination.
In 2023, Lovett made 54 receptions for 613 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Bulldogs.
