Santucci attended Phillips Academy in Massachusetts. He earned a Perfect Game First Team All-American selection as a senior, and was the second-ranked recruit out of Massachusetts and the 64th overall player in the class of 2022. He chose to join Duke following his high school career.
As a freshman, Santucci pitched both as a starter and out of the pen. He made 20 appearances that season including 7 starts. He posted a 4.17 ERA with 58 strikeouts and 20 walks in 41.0 innings pitched.
As a sophomore, Santucci was moved into a starter role. He threw 7 starts before having his season ended due to injury. In those 7 starts, he held a 4.30 ERA with 50 strikeouts and 16 walks in 29.1 innings pitched.
He comes into his junior season this year recovered from injury and looking to have a career year to put himself as high as possible on draft boards.
