Kyren Lacy grew up in Thibodaux, Louisiana and attended Thibodaux High School. He had an incredible senior season, tallying 54 receptions for 864 yards along with 18 touchdowns and was ranked as the No. 8 receiver in the state of Louisiana by 247Sports. Lack was a highly regarded high school basketball player who won the 5A State Championship. Rated a three-star prospect, he committed to Louisiana-Lafayette.
In his freshman season at Louisiana-Lafayette, Lacy led the Cajuns in receiving with 28 receptions for 364 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games. He caught 22 passes for 304 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games during his sophomore season.
After the season he entered the transfer portal and signed to play at LSU. In his first season for the Tigers, Lacy played in all 14 games with two starts and finished with 24 receptions for 268 yards.
Lacy became a big part of the Tigers offense in 2023, playing in all 13 games with 10 starts, including the final nine games and was third on the team with 558 yards and touchdown receptions with seven. He was also fourth on the team with 30 receptions and was one of Jayden Daniels' biggest weapons down the stretch.
